Gear Selector

EDIT 09/04/20: i have found that the pin outputs done for the PRNDEB were wrong! only the output for P was correct, i have updated the info now although i only bothered to find P N and D.

The I-miev has a weird physical gear selector sensor, luckily this makes it easy to reverse engineer.

I will use this info to engage the car in drive normally, and to engage park while a button is pressed to allow the car to start and change gear without the motor regen breaking. I won’t need the reverse drive mode as I’ll just use the BMWs reverse gear.

Above Photo: The relay diagram i drew at the top of the page had to be shuffled around a bit to work with the correct P and D settings, i have tested this on a second working iMIEV and the relay system works!
